Resonate Hants is a small, committed and dynamic company providing the NCS programme to young people in the Andover, Hart and Rushmore area.
In 2017 our programme saw over 600 young people aged 15 to 17 years old embark on their NCS journey, we had over 40 leaders make sure that this experience made Summer 2017 the best ever.
With demand for the NCS programme growing every year, we are on the lookout for the next set of inspiring NCS leaders.
The NCS coordinator is an integral part of the NCS Summer 2018 programme, mentoring a group of leaders and young people on programme.
You will inspire and lead a team of leaders throughout the delivery of the NCS programme whilst overseeing all young people away with you, acting as their role model and mentor and pushing each of them to reach their full potential and gain the most from their NCS experiences. This rewarding and challenging role may require long working hours.
This role is suitable for a highly motivated, enthusiastic and hardworking individual who is able to inspire and set a positive example for young people and colleagues.

. Manage staff members throughout the programme to ensure the safety and pastoral care of all young people and the effective delivery of the NCS programme.
. Comply with all relevant NCS safeguarding policies and procedures, support leaders with any safeguarding issues and pass any information on to designated safeguarding lead.
. Ensure the engagement and participation of all young people and leaders and organise a night time rota for all staff. Coordinators will need to be on call and are the first port of call if any issues arise on programme.
. Lead engaging evening sessions with all young people on programme and assist with any other activities/workshop delivery when needed.
. Ensure that staff and young people adhere to the timetables for their activities, workshops and meal times (making sure that the NCS programme runs smoothly and to schedule).
. Be aware of and ensure that medical and dietary requirements are met for your group, deal with any issues that may arise from this.
. Make sure that all staff complete all paperwork to an acceptable standard (incident reports, medical sheets, time sheets, registers, surveys, social action reports etc.)
. Develop and maintain a professional relationship with fellow colleagues and young people, ensure regular performance feedback is given to staff throughout the programme.
. Hold all sensitive information of young people on the wave in line with Resonate Hants’ data protection policies.
. Attend all staff training and assessment days, complete online training and maintain professional development with ‘on-the-job’ training during delivery periods.
. Experience of working on the NCS programme.
. Experience of managing and inspiring a team of staff and motivating groups of young people whilst providing pastoral support and managing challenging behaviour.
. Knowledge and experience of following safeguarding and health and safety policies and procedures- alongside any other organisational policies and procedures.
. Experience of working in a fast-paced environment and the ability to make decisions under pressure whilst working flexibly and adapting to situations.
. Ability to handle sensitive information in a professional manner, in line with policies.
. Positive attitude and the ability to motivate others.
. Excellent communication skills both with staff, young people and parents/guardians.
. Previous teaching/ youth work experience.
. Experience of running a residential environment.
. Experience of running operations/ organising logistics.
